oh, you lovable scamps [Feb. 18th, 2008|02:01 pm]
[Current Mood |happyhappy]

I have seen an Obama TV ad! I heard an Obama radio ad! The Alamo Drafthouse is showing the debate in Austin! Is this what it feels like to live in Iowa or New Hampshire? Because then I totally understand their being jerks about always going first.

Preordered Smash Bros today, and confirmed the Gamestop at the Arboretum will be open at midnight.(although it sounded like all the Gamestops might be)

Learning Django, and rewriting my wish list site. It's a little trickier than I had expected but a pretty neat framework.

I have a feeling they still get it so much worse than we will get on the amount of ads and soliciting for votes. But it is nice to be asked for once!

1) Did you see the Obama response to all the "speeches aren't important" attacks he's been getting lately?

2) Coming from a Rails background, I am often disturbed by both how dense Django files are and how much each one contains. Is my sampling unrepresentative?

No, I didn't see his response. (unless it's related to the "plagiarism" charges)

In my very very limited experience, all the examples tend to have all the view functionality in one file. But there's no reason it has to be done that way. I haven't tried any Rails so I really can't compare...

It's the speech mentioned in the plagiarism charges.

Which are really kind of stupid - if I were going to write a speech on famous historical "words", I would probably include the same ones...

I do have the django book if you want to borrow it for a few days. I'm not likely to look at it again till the weekend. Either way I'll bring it by tonight.

Obama campaign called me today. Very informative and helpful! For once I was glad to be cold-called. Crazy!

I need to preorder my Smash too! Eep!
