It's sooo cold! I thought when it was below freezing, you got snow as a bonus? My fingers are having trouble typing.... :-(

"16 Blocks" - weird at first, then good, then dragged a bit. The ending, though, was good, and that brings the rating up to pretty good. Bruce Willis is old, which is sad. And Mos Def has an annoying accent the whole time.

Popcorn is expensive ($6 for a medium??) in Maryland.

cold is necessary but not sufficient for snow. sorry! :) but michelle (who is from maryland) said that maryland gets a couple inches of snow every year, but not more. so if you lived there, you would get some, but not like lake effect amount, which sounds excellent.

sophomore year the heat didn't work in our room for a while, so my hands were so cold I had trouble typing. so of course I put on gloves. that's when I found out my touchpad won't work if you're wearing gloves (I think if the point of contact is too big it won't pick it up. or something.). so mom sent me fingerless gloves. :)

think of all the fun things we could buy you if you lived someplace cold! plus mom would have someone new to knit things for. hehe. and you could get lots of thick comfy socks. and boots!

I know how you feel with the cold and the typing. It's always horrible when I go to upstate NY for the holidays and am staying up later than the thermostat timer keeps it warm--FROZEN FINGERS OMG!

Regarding popcorn: no, it's just that most things are cheaper in Texas. Like, living in general. Things are cheaper here. I wonder how much of it is a filtering through of the cheaper price of gas relative to the rest of the country.
